Sheikho to ARK: The Kurds are deprived of fuel while the QSD provides it on a platter to the opposition and the regime

ARK News... Kurdish politician Saadoun Sheikho on Saturday, January 28, 2023, said that the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) support the opposition and the regime with oil, while peasant farmers are struggling to obtain some liters of fuel to manage their affairs.

Referring to the opening of the Awn al-Dadat crossing between the SDF and the opposition, he stressed during his participation in the ARK newsletter that there is nothing new in opening a crossing between the Syrian opposition and the Syrian Democratic Forces, as commercial relations have been continuing between the two parties since the beginning.

He pointed out that the SDF's support for the opposition factions and the Syrian regime coincides with the ongoing crises afflicting Kurdish civilians, especially in the areas under the SDF's control, which is a systematic act of starving people to empty the areas and push them towards emigration.

He explained that the Kurds in the areas under the control of the SDF in Syrian Kurdistan are suffering greatly to obtain some liters of fuel, while the other areas of Syrian Kurdistan that are under the control of Turkey, such as Afrin and Serê kaniyê, in addition to Izaz, Jarablis, and al-Bab, do not suffer from the fuel crisis.

Sheikho confirmed that the PYD administration deals with civilians as a commodity for trade, and the millions of dollars looted from oil revenues are only the tip of the iceberg, while there is a continuous and artificial crisis of bread, fuel, and water to empty the Kurdish regions.
