Three security branches of the Syrian regime at the Semalka crossing

ARK News: The Democratic Union Party (PYD) administration at the border crossing of Semalka between Kurdistan of Syria and Kurdistan region of Iraq sends security information to three security branches of the Syrian regime.

“The security administration at the Semalka crossing is preparing four copies of filling form information for every citizen who wants to cross the crossing”, a special source inside the Semalka crossing who preferred not to be named for security reasons revealed to ARK News.

The same source revealed that "the crossing administration sends a copy of this filling form information to the military security branch of the Syrian regime, a copy sends to the Political Security and a copy to the State Security, in addition to a copy is reserved for itself."

The border crossing of Semalka was opened in January 2013, and it is a humanitarian crossing. Dozens of activists and politicians were arrested on arrival at the crossing by PYD, the administration of Semalka prevents large numbers of its opponents, media, and activists of the Syrian Kurds from entering to the Kurdistan region, and refuses their entry with the threat of arrest and murder if they cross and enter Kurdistan of Syria.
