The PYD determines the purchase prices of wheat and barley crop for less than the price of the regime

ARK News: The de facto management of the PYD imposed in areas under its control Kurdistan of Syria, the purchase price of wheat and barley from farmers for the season of 2019 where the PYD set a price less than the price which specified by the Syrian regime.

According to a decision issued by the PYD, the price of purchasing wheat from farmers is set at 150 Syrian pounds and the price of barley is 100 Syrian Pounds.

The Syrian regime had set the price of buying at 185 Syrian pounds for wheat and 135 Syrian pounds for barley, meaning that there was a difference between the price set by the regime and the price of the PYD of 35 Syrian pounds.

And the decision raised of debate and resentment among the peasants in Kurdistan of Syria and demanded to reverse the decision and commitment to resolutions that serve the peasants in light of the economic crisis experienced by Syria.
